Eligibility & Admissions

Minimum Pace University Eligibility Requirements
At the time of application for the term abroad, students must:

1.   Have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
Applications received from students with less than a 2.5 cumulative GPA at Pace will not be considered regardless of circumstance.
2.   Students must have earned a minimum of 32 credit hours (sophomore class standing) in residence at Pace University prior to the term abroad.
3.   The International Programs & Services Office will review your disciplinary record with the Office of the Dean of Students. The student status report from the Office of the Dean of Students will be obtained directly by the International Programs & Services Office.
Meeting these requirements does not, however, guarantee acceptance. Additional eligibility requirements apply as determined by program type (see below). You will be notified of your application status/admissions decisions via e-mail. E-mails are sent to your official Pace e-mail address.
Acceptance is contingent upon maintaining the minimum GPA required for admissions and on continued review of your record with the Office of the Dean of Students. Your participation or your participation approval may be revoked if your conduct before departure raises doubts as to your suitability for progarm participation.

Additional Semester Abroad Eligibility & Admissions Procedures by Program Type:
1. Pace University Exchange
Exchange program space is limited which makes admission to Exchange programs a competitive process.
Applicants will be subject to the minimum admissions requirements as established by each specific exchange agreement (see program page for eligibility requirements).
Applications for exchange programs are reviewed following the posted Pace internal application deadlines.
When more applications are received than exchange program space permits, preference in application selection will go to, in the following order:
1. Students with junior class standing only during the term abroad
2. Students with no prior semester abroad experience at Pace University
3. Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above
Applicants will be notified via e-mail following the internal Pace application deadline if additional application materials will be required, such as a competitive essay.
2.  Pace Global Partner Programs
Provided you meet Pace University's minimum application requirements for study abroad, you will receive an e-mail from the International Programs & Services Office approving your internal Pace application to study abroad with instructions on the next steps in the application process. Students will be required to complete an external application directly with the Global Partner Program.  Note the Global Partner Program may have higher GPA requirements and/or class standing requirements than Pace - you will need to meet the Global Partner Program's requirements.
