Figueroa Study Abroad Scholarship Awards - Lubin School of Business

The Lubin School of Business is awarding scholarships of $3,000 which will apply towards a Study Abroad experience in one of the following destinations: PUC in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Zurich School of Management in Switzerland, BI Norway Business School in Oslo, Norway, and CEFAM in Lyon, France. These programs are direct exchange programs with Pace University. As a result, the student will be able to use all Pace institutional aid as well as any Federal financial aid to fund their Study Abroad experience.

Number of Scholarships: The Lubin School of Business will be awarding 10 Scholarships. Also, students are only eligible for one Figueroa scholarship throughout their study at Pace University.

Eligibility: Applicants must:

·         Have a minimum QPA of 3.0

·         Have submitted a current FAFSA to the financial aid office

·         Must be a Lubin Business School Student

Please enter all information in the fields of the online application. The essay of 5,500 words maximum should be typed in a word processing program and then copy and pasted into the essay section of the online application. Please note that all formatting will be lost in the process. Please be sure to follow the instruction on the application regarding proper essay submissions.

Baden-Wurttemberg Scholarship - University of Mannheim
The University of Mannheim and its schools has nominated Pace University students as potential beneficiaries of the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM (scholarship of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg) for the academic year 2012/13. The programme is intended to promote the international exchange of qualified students from and to Germany.


Students who plan to spend one or two semesters at the University of Mannheim and show an outstanding academic record are now eligible to apply for this scholarship. The selection process is made according to students’ academic record.


The funding level per student is set at:           400 € per month for undergraduate students

                                                                   600 € per month for postgraduate students

                                                                   800 € per month for Ph.D. candidates


In general, the scholarships will be granted for a period of four months.


Students who want to apply need to include the following documents in their application:

  • Completed application form (Request application from
  • Cover letter by the applicant (including motivation for studying abroad and at the University of Mannheim, max. 1 page)
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Transcript of records for Bachelor and Master students

 Students need to submit these documents to the Office of Study Abroad. In case there should be more than one applicant from Pace applying, the Study Abroad office will rank applicants.  


The applications will be reviewed and preselected by a committee of representatives of our International Office and the University of Mannheim schools. The final approval by the Baden-Württemberg Foundation is expected by July 2012 for the fall and January 2013 for the spring semester, respectively.

JASSO Scholarship - Sophia University  


It has been decided that the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) will provide a select number of exchange students with a scholarship, called the “JASSO International Student Scholarship for Short-term Study in Japan”, to help with study and research expenses in Japan.


The Office of Study Abroad can only recommend ONE student for the JASSO Scholarship per semester.


Required document:  


1.      Applicant’s Information Sheet (Request application form from

2.      Certificate of Enrollment of the Applicant for Student Exchange Support Program (Scholarship for Short-Term Study in Japan). The Office of Study Abroad will complete this form.



1.      Degree-seeking students who belong to one of the universities which has the valid exchange agreement with Sophia.

2.      Students who hold nationality of countries that have diplomatic relations with Japan. (International students who do NOT have a Japanese nationality. Students with dual citizenships of Japan are NOT eligible.)

3.      Students who have no other scholarship which covers more than ¥80,000 per month. If the students have some other scholarship, they should tell us its name and the monthly amounts.

4.      Students who are academically outstanding, but do not have enough funds to study in Japan.

5.      Students who will return to their home countries after the completion of studying. If the students do not return, they may have to pay back all scholarship funds to the JASSO.
6.   Students who have not previously studied in Japan with this JASSO Scholarship within 3 years.
