Post-Graduate Scholarship and Fellowship Opportunities

These scholarships may require Pace University nomination or recommendation of your application. You are not able to apply for several of these opportunities individually. The stated Pace Institutional Deadlines are final, and applicants must have their complete application submitted to the Prestigious Fellowship Coordinator by the marked deadline.


American Rhodes Scholarship

 

The Rhodes Trust, a British charity established to honor the will and bequest of Cecil J. Rhodes, provides full financial support for Rhodes Scholars to pursue a degree or degrees at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.

 

Pace Institutional Deadline: June 8, 2012

Deadline to apply: Wednesday October 3, 2012

 

Eligibility:

  • a citizen of the United States
  • at least 18 but not yet 24 years of age (i.e., the applicant must still be 23 on October 1 in the year of application)
  • sufficiently advanced academically to assure completion of a bachelor’s degree before October 1 in the year following election

Gates-Cambridge Scholarship

Gates Cambridge Scholarships are awarded to outstanding applicants from outside the UK to pursue a postgraduate degree in any subject at the University of Cambridge. The program aims to build a global network of future leaders committed to improving the lives of others.

Eligibility:

  • may be citizens of any country outside the United Kingdom
  • may apply to study any subject available at the University of Cambridge
  • must be admitted to one of the degrees above at Cambridge through the University's normal admission procedures. The Trust does not admit students
  • evidence of high academic achievement, leadership potential, social commitment and a good fit with Cambridge

Is the largest U.S. international exchange program offering opportunities for students, scholars, and professionals to undertake international graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondaryschoolsworldwide

Eligibility Requirements:

  • a citizen of the United States
  • be completing, or hold a Bachelor’s degree by May 2013.
  • 3.5 GPA (Pace recommend GPA)

George J. Mitchell Scholarship


The Mitchell Scholars Program, named to honor former US Senator George Mitchell's pivotal contribution to the Northern Ireland peace process, is designed to introduce and connect generations of future American leaders to the island of Ireland, while recognizing and fostering intellectual achievement, leadership, and a commitment to community and public service. Up to twelve Mitchell Scholars between the ages of 18 and 30 are chosen annually for one year of postgraduate study in any discipline offered by institutions of higher learning in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Eligibility:

  • a citizen of the United States
  • be at least 18 years of age, but not yet 30 years
  • hold a bachelor's degree  from an accredited college or university (not necessarily in the US) before beginning study as a Mitchell Scholar.

Marshall Scholarship


Marshall Scholarships finance young Americans of high ability to study for a degree in the United Kingdom. Up to forty Scholars are selected each year to study at graduate level at an UK institution in any field of study.

Eligibility:

  • a citizen of the United States
  • hold their first undergraduate degree in the United States
  • GPA 3.7 (or A-) on their undergraduate degree
  • not have studied for, or hold a degree or degree-equivalent qualification from a British University
